Kastamonu Entegre Ağaç Sanayi which is one of the two locomotive companies of Hayat Holding was established in year 1969 for production in the wooden panel industry and today became a global power which is the 1st in Turkey, the 3rd in Europe and the 5th in the world in its field.

Kastamonu Entegre Headquarters is looking for a “Purchasing Senior Executive” in Global Purchasing Directorate. The position is based in Altunizade, Istanbul.

Responsibilities:

• The position is responsible for purchasing of main raw materials, namely methanol, urea & melamine / MUM) category:
• Develop & and implement short- and long-term procurement strategies designed to reduce costs, improve quality and service while meeting company goals and objectives, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure these measures are achieved.
• Identify and estimate short, medium, and long-term material needs based on lead times and manufacturing needs.
• Execution of timely purchase tenders based on manufacturing needs, warehouse capacities, and lead information on the materials,
• Evaluate the total value chain to define the best way of sourcing in conjunction with the head of the MUM category.
• Define the best procurement process, e.g. traditional/RFQ/RFP/RFI, online auction, collaborative sourcing, etc.
• Manage data such as chemicals, commodity trends, data exchange, and global and regional pricing indices (for methanol, urea, and melamine).
• Manage service and quality-related issues that potentially have a direct impact on service levels and/or downtime.
• Developing the appropriate category sourcing strategies.
• Ensure alignment with the business agenda for category strategy.
• Define and enforce standard supplier management practices (standards, guidelines, policy compliance requirements).
• Develop a continuous improvement program with significant suppliers to ensure short term and long-term cost reduction based on strategic sourcing principles.
• Participate and drive Value Optimization (VO) initiatives within the MUM category.
• Apply legal and ethical considerations to negotiations.
• In coordination with functional representatives, ensure that appropriate authorizations & and documentation are obtained for procurement activities.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as financial, quality, supplier performance, and procurement performance metrics.
• Manage agenda in a procurement operational environment, including various administrative work.
• Will be able to work under a high workload and time pressure and be a customer-focused individual who understands how to manage internal and external relationships to deliver quality output in a timely and efficient way, while fulfilling schedules and targets.
• Ensuring the company's legal, ethical, and environmental considerations are demonstrated through the supply chain and in all dealings with 3rd party vendors.

Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in related areas.
• Ideally, an additional qualification in procurement/supply chain or equivalent or an MBA.
• In-depth understanding of international payment and delivery terms (Incoterms) and basic understanding of trade contracts
• Familiar with basic customs and import regulations
• Skilled at SAP or similar ERP applications, and good at Excel reporting and analysis functions
• Good understanding of categories and commodity markets
• Solid negotiating skills
• Open-minded, positive thinking, team playing, and team building, especially during critical situations
• Result & target oriented with a continuous improvement approach
• Fluent English is mandatory
• Military service must be completed for male candidates
• The driving license is essential
• The position may require frequent travel

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of procurement/supply chain experience within a similar organization with much of it in chemicals or a similar environment preferably. (commodity buying experience is preferred).
• Experienced in strategic sourcing, bidding, and contracting with suppliers throughout the world markets, risk management, vendor management, supplier development, contract management, and project management.
