POSITION DESCRIPTION: MARKETING MANAGER/SPECIALIST


POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will contribute to brand awareness and company sales and profitability goals through traditional marketing channels as well as new and emerging digital technologies. Working with the Marketing team, reporting to Global Marketing & Brand Director/Marketing and Communications Manager, the Marketing Manager/Specialist is responsible for day-to-day execution and implementation of Hotel and Brand marketing and advertising initiatives for our individual brands. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Research and analyze a variety of marketing information, including market trends, pricing schedules, competitor offerings, product specifications, and demographic data
  • Develop and executes new marketing strategies and campaigns based on detailed analysis of market forces
  • Work with creative teams to come up with branding ideas, advertising copy, graphic designs, and promotional materials
  • Identify the appropriate media channels where each product or service's marketing materials can be delivered to B2B or B2C audience
  • Track marketing strategy results closely and creates detailed reports with data analysis and other feedback
  • Create and manage project plans for various marketing and event activities for different markets
  • Work closely with the sales team on program development and implementation
  • Monitor annual and monthly marketing budgets in accordance with target markets
  • Support and execute all public relations activities
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
  • Develop and maintain relationships and communication with key partners in Operations to create solid marketing plans and serve as the primary point of contact for the properties we have.
  • Manage advertising and public relations agencies, utilizing them as resources for brand and revenue enhancement programs
  • Manage all digital marketing initiatives
  • Provide social media content with creative team for each brands, develop new social media campaigns suitable to brand identity
  • Coordinate third party relations with agencies and other partners
  • Provide on-site event support where necessary
  • Recommend development and implement marketing materials as appropriate
  • Coordinate production of promotional materials, manage the distribution

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business, marketing or related major is preferred but not required
  • 2-4 years of related work experience, preferably in the hospitality industry (For specialist)
  • 4-6 years of related work experience, preferably in the hospitality industry (For Manager)
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Dynamic team player with great collaborative and interpersonal skills
  • Strong personal leadership, organizational, relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Self-starter who can work independently: displays self-confidence, enthusiasm and strong customer service / empathy orientation
  • Extremely detailed oriented while juggling multiple projects and many stakeholders
  • Ability to travel on occasion to visit properties, manage photo/video shoots, meet with contacts in each market and drive marketing agendas
