General Qualifications

We are looking for an Operations Specialist to work in the Istanbul Tuzla Office of our fleet serving in the International Maritime Transportation Sector. Operation Specialist, you will work as a part of Chartering/Operations team, within a Tanker Shipowner company which operates six owned tankers from 6000 dwt to 18.000 dwt.

Job description

·         Being responsible for the arrangements related with the voyage planning (ie. follow up the instructions with the Vessels, appointment of port agents, coordinating supplies, slop/sludge/bilge disposals with the agents, issuing hire/freight invoices, follow up these payments);

·         Collecting agents’ final disbursement accounts, checking and following the payments with the Accounting Department;

·         Ensuring all terms and conditions of the charter party are followed and fulfilled under the supervision of the Chartering Manager;

·         Providing daily updates of the fleet movements for the internal departments;

Skills and Qualifications: 

·         Bachelor degree level education, preferably in relevant field such as Maritime                                         

·               Transportation Management or similar field of study;

·               Fluent in English (spoken and written);

·               Good planning, organizational and communicative skills;

·               Practical pro-active attitude;

·               Willing to learn;

·               The ability to work as a team member;

·               Flexible with the working hours;
