Junior Data Scientist

•Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on data mining, statistics, mathematics, industrial engineering and/or computer science (candidates must receive graduation certificate as of July,2019)

• Born in 1991 or after

•Knowledge and understanding of big data and proficiency in using SQL, SPSS, and/or SAS is a plus

•Knowledge of a variety of data mining techniques (clusters, decision trees, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks is a plus

•Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques (regression, statisticals test etc.) and experience with applications is a plus

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams and reporting on findings in a clear and structured manner

•Good time-management , problem solving, organization, and analytical skills

•Proficiency in using MS Office

•Candidates who have received minimum requirement score on TOEFL, YDS or IELTS examination within the past 2 years and can document it, will be exempted from DenizBank’s English test. (TOEFL 75,YDS 80, IELTS 6.5)

•At least 2 year deferred or no military obligation for male candidates

As Junior Data Scientist you will learn and develop in a dynamic team and help us discover information hidden in vast amounts of data, scale our analytic and visualization capabilities and help us make smarted business decisions.

In the first two years of your career in Deniz, you will go through 75-day long Data Scientist Training Program, designed in cooperation with sectors’ best players by Deniz Academy.

We will support you by providing learning and development opportunities such as courses on the following topics:

Data Structure and SQL

Statistical Analysis

Introduction to SPSS

SPSS Model Creation and Data Analysis

Data Mining and Business Intelligence

followed up by work shops, case studies and seminars, company visits and lectures from university academic staff guest speakers.
