• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related departments
  
• Fluent in spoken and written English (German knowledge is an asset)
• Knowledge of ISO 26262, Products Development Life Cycle with respect to systems, electrical and software development
  
• 3 years experience of automotive industry, preferably as a Functional Safety Engineer
• Awareness of the compliance models which are relevant to the electronics development (CMMI and Automotive SPICE)
• Strong analytic and problem solving skills
• Good technical leadership, planning and organization/control skills
  
• Ability to communicate complex ideas succinctly and persuasively to colleagues, management team and customers
• Able to travel abroad
• No military obligation for male candidates

Job Description:

• Acting as a Functional Safety Engineer
• Analyzing the impact of ISO 26262 on the product and define the product architecture and defining the Technical Safety Concept
• Performing safety management activities for the project according to relevant standards during all project phases (concept, product development, production) including DFMEA, qualitative and quantitative FMEDA
• Developing the safety architecture and safety plans to ensure compliance with ISO 26262
• Leading and coordinating creation of functional safety documentation according ISO 26262
• Disseminating safety requirements to the subsystems and component levels in product portfolio and specify detailed safety requirements
  
• Collaborating with project managers, development team and customers on Functional Safety
• Conducting reviews with the product teams to ensure the functional safety standards
• Creating the safety case for the release of the product according to Functional Safety
