QUALIFICATIONS

We are currently seeking a lawyer for our legal team. Our legal department provides law services in the fields of media and visual publishing, production and distribution to Turkuvaz Media Group which is one of the biggest Turkish Mainstream Media Group in Turkey. Turkuvaz Media has the most watched TV channels such as atv, ahaber, anews, apara, aspor, a2, Minika Go, Minika Çocuk, atv Avrupa globally recognized TV series and wide circulated popular newspapers and magazines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, (LL.M in the UK or USA will be an asset.)
  
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a media company or law firm,
  
• Fluency in both written and spoken English,
  
• Knowledge and experience in the fields of Media Law, Intellectual Property Law, Contract Law, Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Advertising Law, Administrative Law,
• Negotiation and drafting commercial contracts in both English and Turkish,
  
• Experience in litigation processes,
  
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and other MS Office programs,
  
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team,
  
• Strong communication skills,
  
• Strong planning and organization skills,
  
• Analytical thinking, result oriented, enthusiastic, fast in action but with detailed planning,
  
• Completed military service for male candidates.
  

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide analysis and counsel on legal and commercial issues to include; corporate issues, commercial transactions, protecting intellectual property and compliance issues etc.
  
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating on various kinds of commercial contracts including licenses, productions, advertisements, copyrights.
  
• Following up litigation matters in-house or via the external law firms,
  
• Supervising appropriateness of all sorts of advertisements to legal regulations,
  
• Drafting corporate documents,
  
• Research and analyse the legislation on complex issues and writing briefs and reports
  
• Research and prepare legal documents for Radio and Television High Council and courts
