QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Yılmaden Holding, established in 2014, is the metals and mining division of Yıldırım Group of Companies, a fast-growing industrial conglomerate based in Istanbul, Turkey. At Yılmaden, we work together across all business units located in 7 different countries with one objective that is extracting the valuable minerals such as chromite from the ground and turn it into ferroalloys, chrome metals and chemicals.

For our growing organization, we are looking for a Research Assistant Specialist to be based in Maslak Office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university, preferably in Business Administration, Finance Economics, or Engineering; Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Science (MSc) is a plus

Min. 2 years of experience in investment and market research units of commodity producers, investment banks, consulting companies, or research houses

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a command of research methodologies, understanding of valuation and financial modeling

Excellent written and oral communication skills both in Turkish and English

Previous experience with regular reporting techniques and strong presentation skills

Good command of Excel, VBA is a strong plus, experience with Python is also a plus

Capable of working in a demanding deadline-driven and flexible working hours environment, ability to produce quality work with attention to details

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Conducting regular research on market dynamics, market forecasts, and competitors in selected commodities

Adopting an out-of-the-box-thinking approach to understand the commercial conditions of the commodities markets

Assisting the analysis and reporting processes by integrating findings acquired by both qualitative and quantitative research

Summarizing data, interpreting results from analyses, and translating study findings into reasonable insights for internal teams and management

Working together with internal teams in monitoring and reporting the results of studies, internal data sources, and primary research
